Due to the severe nature of the Claimant’s disability, the lack of suitable accommodation in the search area and the extent of care required, this new build project was undertaken in 2010. Facilities included accommodation for a 24-hour, 7 days a week care regime, specially equipped bathroom and therapy facilities combined with accommodation for the rest of the family.
The bespoke design of this dwelling enables the Claimant to benefit from an independent life (albeit with an established care regime) whilst being in close proximity of her family.
Full wheelchair access has been provided throughout the ground floor accommodation, together with directly linked garage facilitating weather protected transfers.
The layout also makes the most of the fantastic views of the Welsh countryside from all the key rooms within the property including the Claimant’s bedroom.
