As a consequence of a road traffic accident the Claimant in this case was rendered paraplegic and was living in his parents’ dining room.

Following the adaptation and extension of this detached bungalow he now has a property that adequately satisfies his accommodation needs for the foreseeable future. Steven Docker Associates were originally instructed to prepare a report for the High Court on the Claimant’s accommodation needs. Our Property Finding department was then retained with instructions to find a suitable property and our Design & Project Management team to subsequently organised and managed the adaptation of the bungalow.

Approximately a year later, we were re-instructed to design and manage the construction of an aqua-therapy pool facility, which was linked to the clients therapy room and included a shower room, plant room and level access bi-folding doors overlooking the rear garden.

“The team at Steven Docker Associates have been great. Throughout the whole process, from preparing a report for the Court on my housing needs to finding and then adapting my new home.

They have been there with me every step of the way, offering such valuable professional advice but above all treating me with such warmth and understanding. They have listened to my ideas and concerns and provided expertise and reassurance which has ultimately provided me with my wonderful home which meets all my needs perfectly.”
